In-Between
Nowhere in-between
would I rather be falling
into bliss and sitting
in not-knowing.
If the world expects me to think,
if this is what it will be.
If I could know what you feel.
There’s nowhere else I’d rather be
than between soft securities
and secrets. Broken open,
beaten, burning
in the afternoon sun,
the life you bleed. The hope
and possibility you breathe,
it allows me to dream.
For once I’d like to know
how it ends. I promise I wouldn’t
choose differently. I would relax
into intertwining paths
and fall deeper. Freedom or
fragility, wherever it leads,
I accept. The pain only stems
from not knowing, yet knowing
leads to discovery and there my lessons
are waiting, there the choices beg doing.
Choose for me, please, will you?
Tell me, is it worth it? Tell me, will you allow it?
